About Me

DJ, drummer, producer, and vinyl enthusiast alike, Mike Walton, aka DJ Blue, was born and raised in Norfolk, VA where his love of music began. In 1990, he moved to Augusta, GA where he began to perform in local talent shows dancing with friends from school. He attended Savannah State University and was apart of the Marching Tigers band. Shortly after leaving college Mike joined the Air Force where he served for 20 years retiring in 2020. He currently resides in Atlanta, GA. When he is not performing, he can be found in the studio, creating new mixes or testing his trivia knowledge by watching Jeopardy!!! Aided by over two decades of DJing and an upbringing in a very musically-influenced home. He has been mixing music since the early 90s, when he first learned how to use turntables. Having spent many years playing at local night clubs and bars (alongside local hard-hitters and national acts alike), DJing special events and promoting his own shows while serving in the military, Mike has had a lot of time to develop his style and sound. For him, it's all about connecting with the crowd and creating an irresistibly upbeat energy that'll have you involuntarily moving your body to whatever beat he throws down. His tunes captivate listeners regardless of genre or style - a luring mix sure to leave everyone feeling VIBEY!!! Don’t be surprised when you suddenly find yourself dancing.
